NEPC’s beginner program starts with our Quick Start class, where you’ll learn to play doubles pickleball. You don’t even need to bring your own paddle. From there, we provide additional classes and events to drill core shots, play coach-guided matches, and engage in supportive group play. Signup on our calendar OR contact us to book a private group class with you and your friends.
Four steps to get started as a beginner.
Sign up for Quick Start.
Learn the rules of the game and the basic shots of pickleball. This class gives you a solid foundation.
Book a drills session.
If encouraged by a teaching pro, practice your serve and return technique with one of our drill coaches.
Join a Coach & Play 101.
Play games with three other beginners while being guided and coached by an NEPC teaching professional.
Register for “Friendlies”.
Participate in coordinated round robin matches in a supportive environment with others around your skill level.
Additionally, you’re welcome to book a private court to improve your game by playing or drilling with your friends and the people you meet during classes and events.

Welcome to pickleball! Your first step is to sign up for one of our Quick Start classes. You can find them on our calendar. If there isn’t one that fits your schedule, you can request a private Quick Start class for you and up to 3 of your friends or family members.
Nope! You can use one of our demo paddles at no additional charge.
To help prevent injury, be sure to wear tennis sneakers or “pickleball shoes.” We ask that you change into your court shoes once you’re inside the club in order to keep the courts clean and protected from outdoor elements.
Congrats! You’ve learned the game. Your next step is to sign up for a Coach & Play 101. You’ll play doubles matches for 90 minutes while reinforcing the basics of the game under the guidance of one of our teaching pros.
